Lead Health Center Analytics Consultant

Remote / Full-time

Join a small, dynamic team that's raising the bar for health center analytics.

Relevant’s mission is to support community health centers in their drive to improve patient health. We do this by providing smart, friendly analytics software, along with hands-on support and consulting to help health centers tackle all kinds of data challenges.

Health centers love working with us, and our analytics team is a key reason why. The team leads implementations of our platform, often helping to resolve long-standing organizational pain points around data and reporting along the way. After implementation, they act as a resource for the health center’s internal data team, helping them solve hard problems, sharing knowledge and best practices, and building up their internal capacity.

This job requires top-notch technical capabilities, strong project management skills and the interest and ability to form strong relationships with the people at our health centers. Successful applicants may come from a variety of backgrounds, but if you have a track record as an outstanding analyst, analyst-manager, or director of data at a health center, hospital, or ACO, we’d particularly like to talk to you.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultative analytics support to health centers and health center networks.
Own a small but impactful number of large, high-value clients and/or projects that include cross-cutting planning, strategy, and thought leadership. Act as a trusted advisor to clients in establishing a data strategy, preferably drawing on experience at a health center. Ensure that Relevant's technology is being used as effectively as possible to improve patient outcomes and health center operations. Conceive, manage, and execute data initiatives for health centers; build reports and data visualizations; lead regular stakeholder meetings; provide advanced training and technical assistance to health center data teams.

  • Lead new health center implementations.
Conduct stakeholder meetings; develop a detailed understanding of customer business processes; extract, clean, and analyze EHR data; write lots of SQL… and build the foundations of a long-standing, strong relationship with Relevant!

  • Bring health center expertise to Relevant and to our clients. Identify best practices for using Relevant to improve patient care at health centers and share them internally and externally. Design and facilitate trainings, user groups and informal conversations with clients to help solve their thorniest data challenges.

  • Help us build the best possible analytics platform.
Identify improvements and new features for our platform based on feedback you've gleaned from customers, market research, insight into industry best practices, and your own domain expertise. Own projects focused on improving the product, focusing on those that require deep product knowledge, complex technical problem-solving, navigating ambiguous feedback, and deep cross-functional collaboration. For example:
    • Identifying a need for a standard report set and managing its development
    • Developing a robust library of measures and care gaps to create a competitive out of the box offering
    • Building out Relevant’s financial data model, modules, and reports
  • Mentor team members. Work one-on-one with analysts and consultants to develop their skills and deepen their health center knowledge. Depending on the Lead Analyst’s skills and preferences, this may include:
    • Effectively involving teammates in major projects
    • Leading efforts to improve team happiness and productivity
    • Acting as a technical escalation point for tricky problems
    • Acting as a resource for strategies to improve customer relationships
    • Managing other team members or major areas of work
  • Create powerful documentation. Help customers and analysts get the most out of our software with clear, well-written documentation. Drive consistency in process, output, and customer understanding by documenting processes and best practices in diagrams and prose.

Preferred qualifications

Must have:

  • Interest in community health centers, healthcare quality improvement, and population health management. You are passionate about improving patient care!

  • A track record of building strong relationships with executive stakeholders and navigating complex organizational dynamics to drive change in healthcare.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to lead effective conversations with a variety of health center stakeholders, including technical staff, clinicians, and executives, is a key job requirement.
